Shilajit research: what does a study or lab test prove?

A study on shilajit, a batch analysis and a customer review answer several questions. A study is about the preparation examined and the chosen outcomes. A lab report describes measurements on a sample. A review is an experience. None of these sources automatically substantiate a general health effect of another product.

In short

  • Check preparation, research design and measured outcomes.
  • A lab test does not measure a general health effect.
  • There is still no independent substantive assessment for Select.

An investigation is not a blanket promise

Before we discuss a study, we assess which product was studied, in which participants, with what method and with what limitations. Results from one preparation do not automatically apply to our product.

Information and claims require control

Health information is reviewed for content before it appears as final brand content. The NVWA explains that medical claims are not permitted for foodstuffs. A disclaimer does not change that rule.

Transparent about what is still missing

There is no substantive evaluator associated with this project yet. This page describes our editorial policy and does not make any claims regarding the proven health benefits of our future product.

What questions do we ask about a publication?

We first want to determine what exactly has been investigated: which preparation, which participants or which model, which outcome and which research design. We then look at the limitations and whether the conclusion goes further than the measurements justify.

A title, summary or separate quotation is not enough. When we discuss a study later, the reader should be able to find the original source and see what uncertainties are involved in our explanation.

Distinguish between analysis, experience and research

A batch report concerns the sample examined and the parameters stated. A customer review describes a personal experience. A study attempts to answer a question under certain conditions. These three types of information are not interchangeable.

Therefore, we do not supplement missing research with enthusiastic testimonials or present a laboratory report as evidence of general health benefits.

Our editorial method

The first texts were drawn up with AI support for the shop project Shilajit Select. There is not yet a qualified content reviewer associated with the publications. The pages therefore remain recognizable as editorial concepts.

Before final publication, we want to have sources, wording and applicability checked. Substantive changes include an updated revision date. A mention of assessment may only appear after it has actually taken place.
