Reading Shilajit Lab Report: Batch, Method and Result

A shilajit lab report is only useful if it is clear which sample has been examined and which batch it belongs to. Then check the measurement method, results, units and reporting limits. Reading the report helps identify missing information; it is not the same as an expert review or clearance of a product.

In short

  • First check the identity of the product and sample.
  • Read the full document, including method and units.
  • A batch analysis is not proof of health benefits.

1. Controleer de identiteit

Does the product name and batch number on the report match the packaging? Also see which sample was examined and when. A report of a raw material is not automatically a report of the filled end product.

2. Lees wat is onderzocht

A certificate of analysis may contain various provisions. Look per line at the substance or parameter, the outcome, the unit and the specified method. Missing determinations are not the same as a result without contamination.

3. Begrijp de grenzen van de uitslag

An indication below a detection or quantification limit is not proof that a substance is completely absent. The reporting limit and measurement method are necessary to understand the outcome. The Eurachem/CITAC guide covers, among other things, detection, quantification and the quality of analytical measurements.

4. Vraag om uitleg

A report is intended to verify, not to impress. We would like to provide the original document alongside an understandable summary. Publication will only follow after assessment of the real batch.

Distinguish between document and assessment

Reading a report and releasing a batch are different tasks. The reader can check whether recognizable data is present. The substantive assessment also requires the product specification, the context of the measurements and the applicable requirements.

Our public explanation will not replace that assessment. We want to indicate which document belongs to a batch and what its status is, with the original report next to it.

Use this order when reading

Start with the product name and batch number. Then read the date and description of the sample examined. Then look at the table with provisions: what is stated per line, in which unit and according to which method?

Finally, check whether the document is complete. A crop with one favorable number provides less context than the original report. Make a note of any unclear terms or missing fields for a specific question to the provider.

What you should soon be able to find at Select

Our target report page shows the batch number, product link, date of analysis, release status, and original file. An explanation must be understandable and clearly separated from the original document.

There is no report online yet. As a result, there is no real result to explain here. We do not use a fictitious certificate to demonstrate the future format.
